From
East: I-89 north to Exit 9. Follow Rte. 103 west for 25 miles or take
Exit 12 onto Rte. 11 west for about 10 miles.
From South: From Keene,
take Rte. 10 north to Newport. Opera House will be on right.
From West: Take the Ascutney
Exit off I-91 and follow Rtes. 11 & 103 for 12 miles.
From North: Take I-89
south to Exit 13 and follow Rte. 10 south for 10 miles.
Patron Parking
Parking
is available on Main Street, behind the Opera House (via Central Street)
and behind Main Street buildings opposite the Opera House.
Performers Parking
All performers
are asked to park in back of the Opera House. Take Central Street off Main
Street, and turn left after the brick house.
Handicap Access
The
Newport Opera House is handicap accessible from both the front and rear
of the building.
In the
front,
to the left of the main entrance is the entrance to the Sullivan County
Superior court.During
Opera House performances, this entrance is unlocked, lighted and leads
to an elevator.Selecting the 2A
button will bring you to the main floor of the Opera House Performance
hall.Once you reach the main floor
you will need to go to the front lobby on that floor to purchase or pick
up your tickets.There will be someone
at this entrance to assist and direct you.
To reach
the rear handicap entrance, you drive, with the Opera House on your
left, past for 1 ¸ blocks and take a left just after Hubert's Clothing
store onto Central Street which is a one way street.Travel
approx. 100 yards and take another left into the Town Parking Lot behind
the Opera House.Travel
to the back of the lot to the rear of the Opera House building and see
the covered handicap ramp on the right hand side of the building.This
will take you to the main floor, same as the elevator.You
will also need to go to the front lobby to purchase or pick up your tickets.As
mentioned, there will be someone at that entrance to assist and direct
