Dear Friends of the Newport Opera House Association:
While 2009/2010 has been a time of economic uncertainty and national volatility, here at the Newport Opera House Association we have been able to continue our mission to provide quality entertainment and culture to the citizens of our community and environs. This was all possible due to the generosity and support of many individuals and businesses who believe strongly in community pride. As in the past, we have strived to provide something for everyone in our variety of programs.
Throughout the year, you have stepped forward with your support both monetarily and physically. Every donation, every ticket sold, every hour volunteered and every bit of interest generated in the Newport Opera House Association has helped us to stay alive. Every day we read about more and more theatrical and cultural organizations that have become victims of a weak economy---every day we celebrate with pride our supporters and patrons who have allowed us to continue to serve the Greater Lake Sunapee Region.
Please take a moment to consider how you can support an organization that is dedicated to the betterment of your community. The enclosed form provides several options as to how you can contribute to the Newport Opera House Association as it provides art, culture and education. By making a donation you become vested in the future of culture in the historic Opera House, perched in the center of our small New England town. While the NOHA does not own the facility, we spend large sums of money annually on equipment and upkeep to be sure that this “jewel” will be able to shine for generations to come
Thank you in advance for your loyalty and support. An investment in the NOHA is an investment in the future of our community. I look forward in seeing you here in the months to come. Why not consider volunteering for one of our many activities? Please visit our website at www.newportoperahouse.com to learn more about our organization and the history of the building we call home.
Sincerely,
Charles H. Massey
Executive Director, N.O.H.A.
