Become A Volunteer
We are pleased to announce that Martha Bristol has been appointed the new Volunteer Coordinator for the Newport Opera House Association. No stranger to the Opera House, Martha has been an active member for many years and has participated in many of our stage presentations. She is well remembered for her performance as the Widow Corney in OLIVER!, and as Penny Sycamore in YOU CAN’T TAKE IT WITH YOU. Ms. Bristol is currently the House Manager at the New London Barn Playhouse.
Martha has ushered for many events over the past few years and is a natural replacement for Susan and Milton Hastings who have served as Volunteer Coordinators for several years. Martha looks forward to working with members of the community who want to volunteer for the various events produced by the N.O.H.A. New volunteers are always welcome.
Anyone who is interested in becoming involved should call the Opera House Office at (603) 863-2412 or print out a volunteer application form from the website. In addition to ushering, volunteers also work in the box office, distribute posters, work on mailings and decorate for events. There is no limit to the variety of jobs available for volunteers. This dedicated group of workers becomes the backbone of the organization.
A special thank you to Susan and Milton for their dedicated service over the past few years.
